Boxes are being packed all around New England as seminarians prepare to return home to this Holy House in just about a week's time. We are preparing to welcome a record-breaking twenty-seven new men! Pray for them!
These days the activity begins to pick up after a nice quiet summer...a few more seminarians are roaming the halls...In the last few days one was leading music at "Jesus in the North End," while another was bringing a new found friend from Omaha to his first Red Sox game and a third was serving (and reading and organizing) the Solemn Liturgy for the Assumption (more on that to come). And at least three of the men were unloading cars, trying to get a head start on next week's move-in.
We're also looking forward to welcoming back Bishop Michael Barber, who will be preaching our opening retreat. So much to look forward to!
I am off today to preach the Retreat for the Bishop's of New England at Ender's Island in Connecticut. I return on Thursday to an extended Faculty Meeting and on Friday the Faculty heads out to Tanglewood for our last evening of R and R before Orientation for the New Men begins on Saturday.
Please keep us all in your prayers, as you, dear reader, are daily in ours!
