With Saint John in Rome and at home

Here's a great pic from last week's ordination in Rome.  Deacon David Harris and I spent the morning visiting some of my favorite churches, finishing at the Papal Basilica of Saint John Lateran.  David and I took this selfie at the Lateran in front of the eighteenth century statue of Sant John the Evangelist and Apostle by Camillo Rusconi.  It is interesting to note that both our patron's statue outside the Saint John's Seminary (pictured below) and the painting in our Chapel were based on this work.
