Rochester in the Snow

Father O'Connor and I are visiting the Diocese of Rochester today.  We started out by visiting the the Genesee Bakery owned by the Fiorito Family, where our own David Fiorito's skills in helping prepare the wonderful delicacies of Rochester's best bakery are dearly missed!  Here I am in the family bakery with Mr. and Mrs. Fiorito!   By the way, the turtle brownies are the best!

At lunchtime we visited with Father Paul Tomasso, Vocation Direction for Rochester.  He was very excited to share the news that several new men will be joining us from Rochester next fall.

Finally, enjoying the kind hospitality of Bishop Matano, we were delighted to have dinner with him and with another old friend of Saint John's, Father Dan White.  Bishop Matano is a member of our Board of Trustees and a great supporter of our beloved Saint John's Seminary.

A cold, snowy but all around delightful trip to Rochester.
