SJS is Closed on Tuesday...

After another day of heavy snows, Mayor Walsh has asked that all cars stay off the streets of Boston tomorrow. In addition, the MBTA has taken the extraordinary move of closing down until at least Tuesday night.

As a result, I regret to announce that Saint John's Seminary and the Theological Institute will be closed on Tuesday.

For resident seminarians, Liturgy of the Hours, Examen and the Holy Hour are on your own. Masses will be celebrated at 7:30am in the Oratory and at 11:15am in the Main Chapel. All classes and offices will resume work on Wednesday morning.

Because they are predicting that this weather pattern could take weeks to resolve, I have already begun intensive consultations on how we might use various video conferencing alternatives to address future weather-related challenges. I will keep you posted in this regard.
